Tesla goes airborne after striking bollard near Adelaide mall

A woman has been treated for minor injuries after her Tesla collided with a bollard before going airborne and flipping on its side near a busy Adelaide mall.

Emergency crews were called to the single-vehicle crash on Twin Street near Adelaide’s Rundle Mall at about 6.15pm on Thursday.

Footage shows the moment the 52-year-old woman strikes a bollard, before her Tesla is seen flying through the air and landing on its side.

Several bystanders can be seen walking behind the pole moments before it is struck by the oncoming car.

The St Peters woman managed to escape with minor injuries and was treated at the scene by emergency services.

The vehicle was towed shortly after and the SA Metro Fire Service said eight firefighters attended the scene.
