South Australians set for energy workshops

South Australians will soon be able to attend energy workshops to learn how to negotiate better electricity deals and how to save money with insulation and solar.

The Energy Smart South Australia program will feature 15 workshops starting in September, aimed at helping businesses and individuals find energy efficiencies.

"The workshops will provide householders and small businesses with simple tips to help them reduce their energy consumption and save money on their energy bills," Premier Jay Weatherill said on Wednesday.

The workshops will cover negotiating a better energy deal, cutting the cost of lighting and how to save money with insulation and solar

They will be run by Planet Ark founder Jon Dee with the first workshop to be held on September 7.
