A 74-year-old woman had to be airlifted to hospital after she fell into a grave at a South Australian cemetery and became impaled on a rail.
South Australia Ambulance confirmed they were called just after 3pm to the woman who had fallen at Maitland Cemetery on the Yorke Peninsula north-east of Adelaide.
The call said the woman, from Maitland, had fallen into a grave and become impaled on a metal rail through the thigh, a spokeswoman said.

The woman waited for help for "a couple of hours", SA Ambulance said.
Her condition is not known but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
9News has contacted Yorke Peninsula Council, which runs the cemetery, for comment.
