Man survives Adelaide drive-by shooting

A man was lucky to escape uninjured after shots were fired at his car as he pulled into his driveway in Adelaide's west.

Police say three shots were fired into the driver's side door as he parked in his garage at Findon at 11.30pm on Tuesday.

Crime scene examiners found what appeared to be bullet holes in the vehicle.

Detective Chief Inspector Stewart Dodd says the man is lucky to have escaped uninjured.

Police believe the shooting was a targeted attack and the offender may be known to the victim, but the offence is not believed to be drug-related, he told reporters on Wednesday.

The victim reported a blue Ford Laser sedan fled after the shooting, with part of the registration recorded with numbers either 146 or 164.
