SA to delay state budget

South Australia's government will delay handing down its budget until after the federal election.

Premier Jay Weatherill says the budget will be delivered on July 7, two weeks after it was originally scheduled.

"We want clear air for what we think is a very important budget," he told reporters on Monday.
