SA man's life at risk after explosion

A man has suffered life-threatening burns after an explosion blew out the windows of a home in Adelaide's south.

The man and a woman, who is in a serious but stable condition after receiving burns to her lower half, were taken by helicopter to the Royal Adelaide Hospital after the explosion in Hackham West on Tuesday afternoon.

It's understood the man may have been smoking while carrying fuel.
