SA man has murder charge dropped

A murder charge has been dropped against an Adelaide man accused of killing his father.

The case against Joel Russo, 35, came before Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

He had been charged with the murder of 65-year-old Frank Russo at a house in Paradise, in Adelaide's northeast, in February.

But prosecutors asked for the matter to be dismissed.

At a previous appearance the court was told a report indicated heart issues could not be ruled out in relation to the cause of death.
