Adelaide rapper David Keith Corlett gets life in jail for murdering old friend
David Keith Corlett reportedly recorded rap songs under his alias 'Mr Drunka'.
An Adelaide man who stabbed a childhood friend with a knife and an Allen key at a 21st birthday party has been jailed for at least 18 years for murder.
David Keith Corlett, 31, has previously admitted to murdering Kane Bogner-Holmes, 25, after a series of drunken brawls that also involved a pool cue and a bottle at a Port Noarlunga house party in April last year.
In the South Australian Supreme Court on Wednesday, Justice Anne Bampton handed Corlett a life sentence with a non-parole period of 18 years.
The victim's aunt Philomena Holmes told reporters that Mr Bogner-Homes was witty and full of life and wished his mates had intervened to stop the violent brawls that went on for hours.
