SA man critical after accidental head shot

A man who accidentally shot himself in the head with a rifle is in a critical condition in Adelaide.

The 35-year-old Whyalla Norrie man was found at his home with a gunshot wound to the head and was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Police have seized a .22 rifle and believe it accidentally discharged and hit the man in the head.
