SA man charged over alleged hit and run

An Adelaide driver has been charged with causing the death of a man who was lying on the road.
Police say the 20-year-old driver, from West Lakes, ran over the man in Rosewater, in Adelaide's west, at about 11.30pm on Thursday.
He allegedly stopped and discovered what had happened but drove off without assisting the man.

The victim, a man in his 30s from Ottoway, died at the scene.
The driver called police to alert them of the incident from his home about 20 minutes later.
He was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop and render assistance.
The driver was released on bail and will face the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on January 6.
