SA man bites cops during traffic stop

A man has been accused of biting two police officers during a traffic stop in Adelaide.

The 46-year-old passenger allegedly bit the officers after getting out of the car, becoming aggressive and refusing to leave when police were speaking to the driver in Smithfield on Monday night.

The officers were treated for minor injuries while the man was bailed to appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court on November 25 charged with the aggravated assault of police officers and failing to cease loitering.
