SA learner, 55, caught drink-driving

A 55-year-old man has been caught drink-driving with an expired learner's permit.

The man on Thursday night recorded a blood-alcohol reading of 0.026 in Thevenard, on the west coast of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, with a learner's permit that had expired three years ago, police say.

His car was impounded for one month, and he was reported for drink-driving and driving without a licence.
