SA ICAC to look into Public Trustee

South Australia's corruption watchdog will conduct a wider probe of the office of the Public Trustee after charges were laid against an officer last year.

Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Bruce Lander says his evaluation will look at the practices, policies and procedures of the office to help prevent or minimise corruption, misconduct and maladministration.

It follows allegations against a public officer who was said to have abused her position to unlawfully benefit from one or more deceased estates.
