SA gives funds to the Crows

The South Australian Government has provided $275,000 to the Adelaide Crows women's AFL team to encourage more girls to play footy.

Premier Jay Weatherill says the funds will allow the club to take its message of greater female participation in the code to 10,000 girls.

"The popularity of the Crows is sure to inspire a new generation of girls to pick up a footy," the premier says.
