SA cannabis grower caught after yard fire

A man has allegedly been caught growing cannabis in his backyard after it caught fire in South Australia's mid-north.

More than 30 plants were discovered by emergency services called to the blaze at Bowmans on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

A 54-year-old was reported for cultivating cannabis and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
