SA boy hit by bus on way home from footy

An eight-year-old boy is in hospital with head injuries after being struck by a bus as he and his parents were returning home from an AFL game in Adelaide.

The boy is in a stable condition in the Women's and Children's Hospital on Friday morning after the accident at Golden Grove just before 11pm on Thursday, police say.

He was struck while crossing the road, shortly after getting off another bus with his parents on the way home from the Port Adelaide-Hawthorn game.
