Young abuse victims may have their testimonies thrown out of court because of a blunder made to train health staff, South Australia's attorney-general says.

John Rau says the staff who took witness statements were trained by an unaccredited program, meaning the evidence may not be accepted in court.

He said he wasn't aware of any previous prosecutions ruined by the interview process but plans to fix the Vulnerable Witnesses Act when parliament resumes.
