Pair admit helping SA murder accused

A man and a woman have pleaded guilty to helping accused murderer Travis Kirchner avoid police over a number of days in South Australia's southeast.

Ronald William Cook pleaded guilty to the charge in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday, while Marnie Anne Passehl entered her plea last month, with both to appear before the District Court on June 1 for a sentencing hearing.

Kirchner is accused of murdering mother-of-three Sally Rothe at Murray Bridge in February.

He was on the run from police for almost a week before he was apprehended in Victoria and extradited to South Australia.

In the same hearing on Tuesday, a prosecutor told the court there was still a large amount of material yet to be provided to the defence in Kirchner's case.

The material included photos, DNA analysis, fingerprints, police statements and CCTV footage.

Magistrate Elizabeth Sheppard remanded Kirchner in custody to reappear in court in June.
