Paddle steamer in SA rocked by blast

Two people have suffered burns after an explosion and fire on a paddle steamer on the Murray, east of Adelaide.

The boat was near Tailem Bend at the time of the incident on Monday afternoon and was severely damaged.

Images posted on Twitter showed it engulfed by flames but still afloat and later tied up to a mooring on the riverbank.

The Country Fire Service said the damage bill had been put at $50,000 and the cause of the blast was being investigated.
