New funding rules for SA elections

A crackdown on political donations for election campaigns has come into force in South Australia.
Acting Premier John Rau says the new provisions tighten disclosure rules relating to donations to candidates and political parties during election campaigns.
They prevent candidates or parties accepting anonymous donations of more than $200 but also allow candidates to access public funding.
