New Adelaide Festival head appointed

The Adelaide Festival has appointed Adelaide City councillor Sandy Verschoor as its new chief executive.
Karen Bryant this week resigned from one of the world's premier arts events to move to Melbourne for family reasons.
"The festival holds a very special place for me ... I very much look forward to joining the team," Ms Verschoor said on Thursday.
