Native title granted in northeast SA
AAP
Native title has been granted over a section of South Australia's northeast following a 20-year bid for recognition.
The Federal Court has ruled that the Yandruwandha Yawarrawarrka people are the rightful owners of a parcel of land spanning about 40,000 square kilometres.
The decision will protect the group's rights to camp, fish, hunt and collect resources on the land, SA Aboriginal Affairs Minister Kyam Maher says.
