Man stabbed at SA church funeral

A man has been stabbed in the head and stomach with a boxcutter at a funeral in Adelaide.

The 40-year-old was attacked by another man at the Salisbury Lutheran Church shortly after midday on Tuesday.

He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene but police believe he is related to the victim.

It has been reported that the victim is under police guard at hospital because he was under home detention at the time of the attack.

Social media posts indicated that the pair were not related to the deceased.

"Well this happened at my brother's funeral how disgusting thank god it wasn't our rellies (sic)," one woman posted on Facebook.

"So disrespectful, so angry," another relative posted.
