Missing SA man presumed dead

A 79-year-old man missing in remote South Australia is presumed dead and the search for him has been called off.

The Whyalla man was last seen on April 30 in the state's far north, and a wide-scale search by police, station workers and SES volunteers started on Monday and ended on Saturday at Angepena, east of Leigh Creek.

SA Police say the man is presumed dead and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
