Man stabbed in chest in Adelaide home

A woman has been charged over the stabbing of a man at a home in Adelaide's northeast.

The man, who is in his 40s, was stabbed at a Vale Park home early on Wednesday morning and has been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 20-year-old woman arrested at the scene has since been charged with aggravated assault causing serious harm.

She has been refused bail and will front the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Police say the pair knew each other and the knife used has been found at the home.
