Man hid from police in Adelaide bin

A man has been busted hiding from police in an industrial rubbish bin in Adelaide's CBD and charged over an outstanding warrant and a theft.

Officers stopped the man, who had been riding a bike, in the city early on Tuesday but he took off while they were confirming his identity, police say.

A police dog helped find the 23-year-old from Wingfield in an industrial bin nearby where it was revealed he was subject to an outstanding warrant and had allegedly stolen the bike he was riding in the city last November.
