No bail for SA man on shooting charge

A 21-year-old man has made no application for bail after being charged with the attempted murder of his 16-year-old brother.

Alex Gatis was shot twice while at his family's Lockleys home on Monday morning.

He had surgery in Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Dimitri Gatis came before Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday where he was remanded in custody until August 20.

Gatis is also charged with firearms offences and with trafficking in a controlled drug.

Police had been called to the Lockleys address after reports of shots being fired through a window of the home, hitting the boy inside.
