Man charged over SA car thefts and pursuit

A man has been arrested after allegedly stealing two cars, breaking into a home, and leading police on a chase through Adelaide's western suburbs.

The 34-year-old first came to the attention of police doing burnouts at West Beach on Monday night, where he also allegedly rammed someone else's car and hit a police car before driving off.

The man abandoned that car, which police soon learnt was stolen, and broke into a nearby home to steal another. Police pursued the vehicle to Brooklyn Park with help from a helicopter, and the man has now been charged with a string of offences.
