Man charged over Adelaide stabbing death

A 28-year-old Adelaide man faces murder, assault and trespass charges over a fatal stabbing in the city's north.

South Australia Police and emergency services were called to a unit block at Elizabeth on Monday afternoon where paramedics were unable to save the 40-year-old victim.

His alleged attacker was taken to the nearby Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment to unspecified injuries.

He was later charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault and serious criminal trespass and was expected to face a bedside court hearing on Tuesday.

Police, including detectives and crime scene examiners, remained at the unit overnight as investigations continued.
