Man arrested for assaulting police in SA

Four people have been arrested for rowdy behaviour at an Adelaide pub, including one man who assaulted two police officers.

Police were called to the pub in Walkerville, Adelaide, after a group of people refused to leave.

A 39-year-old Salisbury Heights man, who was allegedly drunk at the time, got into a fight with police, resulting in two officers receiving minor injuries.

He has since been charged with assaulting police, resisting arrest and refusing to give his name and address.

A 47-year-old man from Windsor Gardens was also arrested for hindering police, while two others - a 37-year-old Banksia Park man and a 52-year-old woman from North Haven - were charged with failing to cease loiter.

All four have been bailed, and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on February 18.
