Man admits to fatal hit-run in Adelaide

A 20-year-old man has admitted to a hit-and-run in Adelaide that left a pedestrian dead.

Dylan Michael Lanc-Quin pleaded guilty in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday to causing death by dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Harley Chester, 28, died at the scene after he was struck by a station wagon in suburban Largs North in February 2016.

The victim's twin sister Tarita Chester said it meant a lot that Lanc-Quin had taken responsibility for causing her brother's death.

"I was really happy to hear that. This has made my day really," she said outside court.

"It won't bring Harley back but it's taking responsibility, which means a lot to the family."

Ms Chester said she misses her brother and it's been tough not having him around.

"It's not easy losing my twin," she said. "He was still only very young."

Lanc-Quin was remanded in custody to be sentenced on March 24.
