Labour hire workers to get help: SA govt
AAP
The South Australian government will expand a $7.3 million program to help retrenched car industry workers to include those from labour hire companies.
Automotive Transformation Minister Kyam Maher says the scheme will help component company workers with retraining, counselling and to find a new job.
He says labour hire staff, who work as contractors and may account for 25 per cent of the workforce at some companies, will now be eligible for assistance.
