Man drove captive 500km from Vic to SA

A Queensland man has been charged with kidnapping another man in Melbourne and driving him hundreds of kilometres across Victoria into South Australia.
The victim, who is known to the alleged kidnapper, was taken captive in St Albans, in Melbourne's west, early on Sunday, police said on Tuesday.
He was driven more than 500km to Pinnaroo, just over the South Australian border, where he escaped.

He was shaken by the ordeal but not injured.
A police helicopter on Sunday night spotted the 43-year-old alleged kidnapper in nearby scrubland, where he was arrested.
The suspect remains in custody and will appear in court in Adelaide on July 23.
