Kangaroo rescued from cattle grid in SA’s Flinders Ranges

A kangaroo trapped in a cattle grid has been pulled to safety by a man in the Flinders Ranges.

Video of the rescue was uploaded to YouTube on July 16 and shows the roo’s back legs sticking out of the grid on a country road.

“We’ve come across this cattle grate and this roos got himself down there,” a voice can be heard saying.

“He might have just hurt himself”.

The man can then be seen approaching the grid and grabbing the roo’s legs before wiggling him side to side, and eventually pulling him clear of the cattle grate.

The roo then promptly bounded away from the man, amid cheers from nearby children.

“Have a good life and don’t do it again,” a child can be heard saying.
