Guard assaulted in Adelaide robbery

A security guard has been assaulted in a botched robbery at a jewellery store in Adelaide.
Two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a baton entered the Jetty Road store at Glenelg about 3pm on Monday but fled empty handed, police say.
They used a white Commodore as a getaway car.

Witnesses have been urged to come forward.
