Greenhouses could mean 5000 SA jobs

A high-tech greenhouse project in Adelaide could create more than 5000 jobs, the state government says.

Water Minister Ian Hunter says SA Water is testing a proposal to use 20 gigalitres of recycled water from Adelaide's north to help grow crops.

A group of companies have suggested the project, which would grow crops in greenhouses to maximise production and the efficient use of water.
