Fruit fly outbreak in Adelaide

A fruit fly outbreak has been declared in Adelaide's inner south, following the discovery of larvae in home-grown peaches.

Agriculture Minister Leon Bignell says the outbreak is unlikely to affect commercial growers or South Australia's fruit fly-free status.

A 1.5km quarantine zone has been established around the suburban Clarence Park property, and biosecurity staff have begun an eradication program.
