Four charged with attempted car theft

Four people have been arrested after trying to steal a car in Adelaide's north.

Three men and a women were caught early on Thursday after a Salisbury North resident reported noises in his driveway and torchlight in his car, police say.

The alleged offenders fled the scene but were tracked down by police and sniffer dogs, and have been charged with unlawfully being on a premises, being equipped to commit an offence and illegal interference with a motor vehicle.
