A former South Australian public servant, who allegedly used fake credentials to secure a senior government job, will enter pleas in April.

Veronica Theriault appeared in Adelaide Magistrates Court by video link from Perth on Tuesday charged with deception and dishonesty offences.

Also appearing was Alan Corkill, who Theriault allegedly hired as a contractor, on charges of deception and aiding and abetting her offending.

Theriault was last year hired as the chief information officer in the South Australian Department of Premier and Cabinet - a position advertised with a salary of up to $244,000 a year.

The pair were arrested in September following an investigation by South Australia's Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, Bruce Lander.

At the time of their arrests, the commissioner said he had also opened a maladministration investigation into the recruitment process that resulted in Theriault's public sector appointment.

He will make a decision at the end of his inquiry as to whether his findings can be made public.

The pair have been remanded on continuing bail to appear again on April 19.
