Former policeman has jail time cut
AAP
A former police officer who had sex with a teenager he met while volunteering at Blue Light Discos has had his jail sentence slashed.
Dale Martin Knoote-Parke, who was 51 at the time of the offending in 2014, pleaded guilty to four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse over his relationship with the then 16-year-old girl and was jailed for at least 21 months.
But an appeal court has cut his non-parole period to just 12 months, citing his previous good character and lack of pedophilic tendencies.
