Fire damages disused Adelaide school

A major fire has caused significant damage to a disused high school in Adelaide's north.

Fire crews were called to the old Enfield High School at about 3.30am on Friday to find a blaze that had spread to three, two-storey buildings.

The Metropolitan Fire Service says the fire has now been contained to one building, but large amounts of smoke continues to drift across neighbouring homes.
