Finn to open Adelaide Festival

Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Finn will kick off the 2017 Adelaide Festival in March with a free concert.

The concert will be the first of Finn's recently-announced national tour and will be staged at the Adelaide Riverbank precinct .

Festival organisers expect a crowd of about 15,000.

"We're thrilled that one of the world's great musicians and songwriters will lead this celebration of all that is joyous about Adelaide in March," Festival artistic director Rachel Healy said.
