Euthanasia focus shifts from SA to Vic

Pressure to legislate voluntary euthanasia is shifting to Victoria after the 15th failed attempt to pass laws in South Australia.

Australian Sex Party leader and Victorian MP Fiona Patten says the defeat of the latest SA bill by just one vote on Thursday shows political will is tipping in favour of the option.

She is urging the Victorian government to show leadership on the issue and respond to an Inquiry into End of Life Choices report that was tabled in June.
