Crim flees Adelaide police after car chase

A driver being chased by police has crashed through train boom gates and hit a fire hydrant in Adelaide.

Police attempted to stop an unregistered car in Ridleyton early on Saturday, but the driver sped off.

Police gave chase for a short time but terminated the pursuit after the driver crashed through boom gates at a railway crossing.

The car then hit a fire hydrant and the driver fled the scene.
