Civil contractors to meet in Adelaide

A major industry conference will seek to identity initiatives to kickstart the South Australian economy.
The Civil Contractors Federation will hold its inaugural South Australian conference on Friday at a time when chief executive Phil Sutherland says the civil construction industry is "on its knees".
The downturn has had a significant impact not only on the state's economy but also many allied sectors and businesses, he said.

Among those to take part in the conference are federal Assistant Infrastructure Minister Jamie Briggs and South Australian Transport Minister Stephen Mullighan.
