Car chase ends with SA highway crash

A car chase on an Adelaide freeway has ended in a three-car crash, leaving the runaway in handcuffs and an innocent motorist injured.

Multiple police patrols pursued a car on the Southern Expressway on Thursday afternoon after the driver refused to stop.

The fleeing car collided with a police car and another vehicle, bringing south-bound traffic to a halt.

A 25-year-old was arrested after the collision and another motorist was treated for minor injuries in the Flinders Medical Centre.
