UPDATE: Body believed to be missing man Dane Kowalski found in South Australia

A body believed to be missing man Dane Kowalski has been found.

Police searching in South Australia’s far north made the discovery just after 12.30pm.

Mr Kowalski was last seen on 13 December in Melbourne and was thought to be travelling to Darwin.

Police launched a search after his ute was located in scrubland 95kms south west of Coober Pedy earlier this week.

Police have extended their gratitude to SES and CFS volunteers who have assisted with the investigation.

Support is being provided for the family and friends of Mr Kowalski.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.​
