Aust officials met potential Arrium buyer

South Australian Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis and federal Industry Minister Greg Hunt have met with key executive from a South Korean group bidding to take over troubled Australian steel producer Arrium.

Mr Koutsantonis and Mr Hunt, along with Australian Workers Union national secretary Scott McDine, met with officials from global steelmaking giant POSCO on Wednesday.

The treasurer said it was a beneficial and important meeting although several other company were also still active in the bidding process for Arrium.
