Bank robber steals worker's car for getaway

A bank robber has stolen a staff member's car after forcing three workers into a back room, during a bank robbery in the Adelaide Hills.

The armed man also left a suspicious package at the scene of the robbery.

Police have cordoned off Main Road in the town of Lobethal as they continue to investigate the package.

Just after 10am, a man armed with a knife and possibly a gun threatened staff and stole cash from the bank, fleeing in a blue Holden sedan registered S278ADW.

Police have warned members of the public not to approach the car or its driver.
