Adelaide to host space forum

Opportunities for South Australia to grow its reputation as a centre for space research and development will be the focus of a forum in Adelaide.

Premier Jay Weatherill will open the event on Friday which comes ahead of Adelaide also hosting the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in September next year.

The congress will attract more than 3000 delegates from the world's space agencies, the commercial aerospace sector, universities and research organisations.

Friday's forum will include presentations from established and emerging private sector groups involved in space-related projects.
